Our Founder: Keisha R. (Holmes) Morris

A self-described education administrator passionate about closing the achievement gap, particularly for Black and brown students, by providing stellar operations and human resources management to schools, Keisha Morris has dedicated her career to supporting schools with just that. Keisha has led an impressive career in human resources for 20 years and executive-level operations for 8 years in the education and nonprofit sectors in New York City and the DC Metro area. 


As the CEO and founder of KRH Consulting, LLC, Keisha’s vision is to provide stellar human resources and operational consulting services to small to midsize nonprofit and education organizations. Her broad and deep knowledge in these areas allows her to problem solve and provide strategic solutions for streamlining processes, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, project management, training staff at all levels, and analyzing data to aid in the decision-making process.

Before founding KRH Consulting, Keisha worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Monument Academy, leading their Operations, Talent and Human Resources, Data, Systems and IT, Safety and Security, Family Engagement, Development, and Chief of Staff teams to improve processes and strong delivery of seamless operational support throughout the organization. Before joining Monument Academy, Keisha was an HR Specialist at EdOps from 2015 - 2018, and before that, she served as the Assistant Director of Bank Street Head Start. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Fordham University.


  • Devised full-cycle recruitment strategy for organizational talent and succession planning.  

  • Developed a compensation and bonus plan ensuring the organization will become one of the top 75% paying organizations in the industry.  

  • Improved the organizational composition of an organization to best manage the scope of duties within a more streamlined structure.  

  • Negotiated benefit packages to include more comprehensive coverage for a minimal increase in cost to support stronger employee retention and recruitment.

  • Devised a staff evaluation template rooted in the School’s mission statement and core values that highlighted staff strengths and/or weaknesses, created goals for them to aspire to, and offered constructive feedback.

  • Provided leadership training for performing employee evaluations.
